Next Reunion Meeting
: April 20, 6PM at Ann Cleland Murphy's (810-385-8610).
Invitations: You should have received your Reunion Invitation by now.  If you didn't, please contact Sharon, Patty or Ann.  A copy is on the web site.
Reservations: Please get your reservations in ASAP!!  We're hoping to charter/reserve the whole "Huron Lady" boat for our class; but need your reservation and CASH upfront to reserve the whole boat.  If we don't get enough people signed up ahead of time, we'll have to go on a regular cruise, and there may not be enough seats left that morning for all who want to attend. Boat leaves the dock @ 10:30.
Hotel Accomodations: FYI...the Class of 61 is holding their reunion at the Edison Inn the same weekend.  If you plan to stay there, get your reservation made soon, rooms may go quickly.

Attention Mariners (former Girl Scouts):

Judy Ploeger & Laurie Irwin are planning a "Katrina Kid's" get together on Sunday morning at Vantage Point.  Please start looking for your old photos, memorabilia, and ukuleles!! (One more Kum-By-Yah???) Laurie will try to make an "Album" for Jo Ploeger, with CD copies for all!!
They'll ask for copies of your photos soon!!!

Sue London:  After high school graduation I attended “JC” and graduated from Eastern Michigan in 1970 with a teaching certificate that I have never used.  I worked at U of M and Wayne State University for a while before starting work for the State of Michigan.  I worked as an ADC and Social Services worker in Detroit for a few years and eventually ended up in Lansing working on developing automated systems for public assistance programs.  Shortly after moving to Lansing I met the man who would eventually become my husband, Paul, also a state employee.  We both retired in 2002 thanks to an early retirement program the state used as a method of reducing the ever dwindling state budget.  We hope to be retired for longer than we worked.  I volunteer for a local charity that raises funds to buy “extras” for children placed in foster care . . things like birthday and Christmas gifts, prom dresses, sports equipment, band instruments . . things most of us got from our parents.  Paul and I are both Red Cross Disaster Services volunteers.  Our first assignment was working nights in a Baton Rouge shelter in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.  We have done a lot of traveling.  We’ve been in every state driving the mountain roads, the scenic highways and byways, going through small towns and the wide open countryside and avoiding big cities as much as possible.  Besides travel, I enjoy baking, cooking, casual fine dining, zinfandel and shopping for clay art.  I’ve spent the past 31 years in the Lansing area;  East Lansing has been home since 1987.   I’ve enjoyed good health for which I am very thankful. Looking forward to seeing everyone this summer!
